Lance Raymundo Back In Top Shape After Freak Accident That Smashed His Face

WE’RE HAPPY to see actor-singer Lance Raymundo looking good when he was a guest in “Startalk” last weekend. He figured in a freak accident in the gym when a barbell fell into his face and smashed it on March 19. He has since undergone reconstructive surgery (the first phase only) with titanium being used to replace his broken facial bones, including his nose.

Lance said the barbell that fell on him is almost 100 lbs. and not just 80 lbs. as earlier reported. The personal trainer who accidentally caused the barbell to fall on him was crying inconsolably, so remorseful over what happened, but Lance has already forgiven him.

“Wala namang may gusto sa nangyari,” says Lance. “But this really calls for all people who work out to be more careful to prevent meeting such horrible accidents.”

He wants to thank his reconstructive surgeon, Dr. John Michael Porquez, who will do the second and final phase of corrective surgery on him a few weeks from now.
