Viva Enteratinment has now succeeded in making a star and heartthrob out of the ABS-CBN Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash 2010 winner. The movie they produced with James in the lead, opposite Nadine Lustre, “Diary ng Panget”, did so well at the box office and is now extended in several theatres.
James couldn’t believe it when throngs of fans would greet him when they did their theatre tour. “It’s pretty overwhelming. I just can’t believe that this is happening, we just couldn’t believe all the people waiting for us there. My co-stars and I were pinching ourselves kasi baka panaginip lang ito lahat. But it was real and we can never be happier.”
The hunky 20-year old shows of his shirtless torso in several scenes so his fans say it’s him who should be credited for the movie’s success. “No, group effort ito,” he humbly says. “Apat kaming bida dito along with Nadine, Andre Paras and Yassi Pressman. It’s not just me. It’s our movie and our success.”
A follow up project is being prepared for him and Viva Records is also giving him an album since he writes his own songs. “I want to write Tagalog songs, not just English songs, and this will be a big challenge for me,” he says.
James was previously linked to Devon Seron (his runnerup in PBB Teens) and to Erica Villongco for the singing duo Krissy and Erica. But James insists he is currently loveless and both girls are just his friends.
