After DID (dissociative identity disorder) in “Rhodora X” and porphyria in “Innamorata”, GMA-7 writers will now introduce another unique medical condition known as heteropaternal superfecundation (o, kaya nyo yun?) in “The Half Sisters”. This means the eggs of the super makating Jean Garcia are simultaneously fertilized by sperms from two different guys, Jomari and Ryan, so she gives birth to both Barbie and Thea, but they have different fathers. Ang galing-galing naman ni Jean dito, di ba? E, kung three guys ang tumira sa kanya, di naging ‘the half triplets’ dapat ito?
Going back to Barbie, she will soon also start shooting a Cinemalaya entry, “Marquina”, where she will play the lead role no less. The problem with “Marquina” is that the stars who were being asked to co-star with her all backed out from the project, and this includes Judy Ann Santos, Joel Torre, Agot Isidro and Angel Aquino. Wonder why. Didn’t they want to support Barbie?
