“Free lancer na ako,” he says. “After ABS and GMA, nasa TV5 naman ako ngayon and I’m glad sa projects na binibigay nila sa akin gaya nitong ‘More Than Words’ na special Mother’s Day presentation to be shown this Sunday at 9 PM.”
His GF Kris Bernal was left behind at GMA-7. Is it true they broke up? But how come they were together again in a recent trip to Japan? “Yes. We broke up. Kasi nagtampo siya, so she broke up with me. Halos one week, wala kaming communication. Then I texted her. Nagulat siyia. The trip to Japan, matagal nang naka-set yun with her family. Naka-book na ang plane tickets at ang hotel. She asked me kung gusto ko pa ring sumama, and so I did. Okay naman ako sa family niya. Her mom is so down to earth and was the one who worked on our visas. Very accommodating naman ang sister niya, so nag-enjoy ako.”
So does that mean they’ve reconciled? "Sweet siya sa akin, sweet ako sa kanya, pero wala pang formal balikan. I think she wants me to court her again. Little by little, ginagawa ko naman. Basta we resolved huwag maghigpit sa isa’t isa. Puede siyang makipag-date sa iba, ganun din ako. Pero mahal ko siya. Siya ang longest relationship ko. Mabait naman si Kris, kaya okay lang ligawan ko uli siya. Pero ayoko madaliin. Bumubuwelo pa ako.”
