ISABELLE DAZA is one busy TV host-actress. She co-hosts “Eat Bulaga” and “Taste Buddies” and she’s now shooting two new movies, “Kubot, Aswang Chronicles 2” with Dingdong Dantes, directed by Erik Matti, and “Somebody to Love” with Carla Abellana and Iza Calzado for Director Jose Javier Reyes. Soon, she’ll be launched in her own solo flick, tentatively titled “Mara”, a horror drama where she’ll play a vampire, opposite Paulo Avelino.
Isabelle won a best new movie actress award for her very first movie, the hit “It Takes a Man and a Woman” where she played John Lloyd Cruz’ girlfriend. She doesn’t regret that she didn’t follow in her mom Gloria Diaz’ footsteps as a beauty queen. “I was offered several times to join a pageant, hindi ko talaga pinangarap yun,” she says. “I never saw myself joining one to be proclaimed I’m the most beautiful. Mas maraming magaganda diyan and as for me, contented na ko now doing hosting and acting.”
