LOVI POE is excited to work with Dingdong Dantes and Maricel Soriano in “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real”, which will replace “Rhodora X” starting June 2. She plays a tindera or vendor in Cebu who becomes Dingdong’s second wife, so they shot many scenes on location in Cebu, while Maricel is the wife in Manila.
“I’ve worked before with Dingdong in the movie ‘Tiktik’ but this is our first TV drama together,” she says. “This is also my first time with the Diamond Star and I’m looking forward to doing my scenes with her kasi I’m sure marami akong matutuhan sa kanya. We’ve been taping for two weeks but hindi pa kami nagkakasama kaya pinaghahandaan ko yun kasi ayoko namang mapahiya ako, knowing how good an actress she is.”
Lovi is so happy that they are supported by a powerhouse cast: Coney Reyes, Robert Arevalo, Celeste Legaspi, Jaime Fabregas, Tommy Abuel, Susan Africa, Marc Abaya, Dominic Roco, Rodjun Cruz and Alessandra de Rossi.
About her lovelife, it’s obvious she and Rocco Nacino are now an item after their trip together in Europe, but Lovi still won’t officially admit their relationship, just like before when she was on with Ronald Singson and Jake Cuenca. All she’d say is “what you see is what you get”. Rocco seems to be more open as he calls her “Hon” (short for Honey) even when they’re in public. Both of them admit the Europe trip did them a lot of good as they got to know each other better.
“I know na before na he’s smart and has a good sense of humor but with the trip, I confirmed he’s also a good organizer kasi siya and nag-organize ng lahat ng ginawa namin, ng mga lugar na pinuntahan namin. He led, I just followed. It was also a fulfilling experience dahil nataon sa Holy Week when we went to the Vatican and hear mass there. It really helped in renewing our faith.”
But it doesn’t mean they’re thinking of tying the knot soon. “We inspire each other but, as of now, we’re both still very busy in achieving and pursuing our own dreams about our careers separately, so mas concentrated pa rin kami roon.”
