Raymond Gutierrez Is On The Threshhold Of An International Hosting Career

RAYMOND GUTIERREZ is so happy that doors for an international career are opening to him. He went to Singapore to promote “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez” with his family, but he was asked to stay and assigned to host a TV special. “It’s the red carpet for Youtube Fanfest held last Saturday night and will be shown next week,” he says. “Youtube sensations from various countries come to Singapore for the affair and I interview them all as they arrive. Dahil wala sila roong idiot boards or cue cards to help me, I did all the research myself and googled kung sino yung mga iinterbyuhin ko. I was working with an international crew. My producer is Scottish and my creative director is Australian. When the show started, nagulat sila kasi kilala ko na lahat ng mga dumarating na Youtube celebrities and I have my own set of questions. The Philippines was represented by Alodia Gosienfiao kaya kilala ko na. But ang kinagulat ko, when I was introduced, the Singaporean crowd really applauded. Nanonood sila talaga ng E! channel at napanood na nila ang trailer ng reality show namin.”

The top talent agency in Singapore, Fly Entertainment, is now offering to manage him. And it’s not only E! Singapore that offers a show to Raymond as he’ll also go to E! Los Angeles to meet with executives there. Here’s hoping “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez” will really be an international hit as this will surely help boost the stock of Ramond worldwide.

On the homefront, Raymond still hosts “Showbiz Police” on TV5 and he’s busy with 71 Gramercy, the rooftop bar in Makati that’s now the in place in town. “It’s really doing well. Thanks to celebrity friends who had parties there like Anne Curtis, Vice Ganda and Liz Uy.”

He says “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez”, that starts airing tomorrow, Sunday, on E! is already being offered a second season. “Actually, umpisa pa lang, they want us to do 13 episodes. Sabi namin, wag naman kasi we have other projects here. We met halfway so 6 episodes muna. And because of the great feedback, they offer na agad a second season. So hopefully, tuloy-tuloy na ito.”
