Director Dominic Zapata Says Ryan Agoncillo & Carla Abellana Have Good Chemistry In 'Ismol Family'

DIRECTOR DOMINIC ZAPATA was absent at the presscon of “Ismol Family” last Saturday as he went on a Marian tour to the shrines of the Our Lady of Lourdes in France and the Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal. He doesn’t have to worry about the taping of the sitcom as he has advanced taping three episodes before he left.

He’s happy to be helming a comedy after doing one drama after another. “Nasa panahon tayo ngayon na stable ang TV at it's about time na ibalik ang comedy na part na ng culture ng mga Pinoy. There was a time na namayagpag ang GMA-7 sa comedy, kaya ibalik natin.

How's the team up of Ryan and Carla? "Una silang nagkasama sa ending ng 'My Husband's Lover', which I also directed. Bagay sila as a married couple dito."

This will be GMA’s third sitcom after “Pepito Manaloto” and “Vampire ang Daddy Ko”, both hits. “Ismol Family” will be shown on Sundays back to back with “Pepito Manaloto”.
