Gina Alajar Says It’s Carla Abellana Who Dumped Her Son Geoff

GINA ALAJAR says she can feel her son, Geoff Eigenmann, is still hurting from the breakup with Carla Abellana. “Si Carla ang nakipag-break at nabigla siya, our whole family, kasi we all thought sila na talaga ang magkakatuluyan,” she says. “We all considered Carla as part na of our family for four years, and Geoff was thinking he’ll spend the rest of his life with her, grow old with her. Okay naman siya but I know he has not tally moved on. Siya ang iniwan, e. We don’t talk about it out of respect but he knows if he needs us, nandiyan lang kami palagi ng mga kapatid niya.”

She doesn’t know exactly why they broke up. “Basta I know, there’s no third party involved. No major reason but maliliit na bagay na nagkapatong-patong. Kung may conflict man, siguro yung religion nila. Kasi Carla is devout Catholic while Geoff is a Christian.”

Is she mad at Carla? “Hindi naman. Binati ko pa nga siya nung birthday niya, e. Nakakalungkot lang but wala naman akong magagawa kung ayaw na niya. Actually, she was the one who told na nag-break na sila. Nakapag-decide na siya.”

Did Carla get jealous of Kylie Padilla who was linked to Geoff? “No, alam niya it’s not true. Naiinis ako, hindi kay Carla, but dun sa taong nagsalita noon sa TV (Aljur Abrenica), blaming my son. Ginawa niya agad guilty ang anak ko. Wala namang pruweba, salita ng salita.”

Would she still be willing to direct him? “Ay, no. Huwag na.”

Gina now is busy conducting auditions for new child actors who’ll play the leads in “Yagit”. Why don’t they just get any of the child actors now working with GMA-7? “Hayaan mo nang maka-discover tayo ng mga bagong batang mamahalin ng publiko.”
