Rhian Ramos Denies Hooking Up With Marc Nelson, Says She Prefers Being Loveless

RHIAN RAMOS denies the rumor that after breaking up with KC Montero, she’s now on with Marc Nelson. “We’re just friends and he’s not even courting me,” she says. “I met him through Bianca King a long time ago but recently lang kami naging friends kasi, several times a week, we work out in the gym together, so we’re just workout buddies. After the gym, we eat so people who see us think we’re dating kasi magkasama kami lagi sa restaurant, but it’s because we have the same diet. I prefer to be unattached lalo na ngayong may bago akong trabaho.”

She is glad to be back in a soap in “My Destiny”, where she plays Carla Abellana’s younger sister afflicted with leukemia. “My last soap was ‘Genesis’ pa. Matagal din akong nag-rest. I’m glad great challenge for me ang role ko ngayon. I researched on it as I’m very excited to do it. Gusto ko talaga, handa ako for my role. I had a friend who had leukemia so we talked about it. I asked him the thoughts going through his mind, how he felt at certain times, at certain stages. Big help yun for me.”

She didn’t have any second thoughts accepting the role of a dying girl. “I’ve really been asking for a role where I’ll be deglamourized and made to look different. I welcome this role where I’ll be really required to show some real acting and not the usual roles na leading lady ka lang in a love story. But maganda rin ang treatment kasi even if it’s about terminal illness, light pa rin ang treatment. I plan to really lose weight here for the scenes na may sakit na ako. I really want to look sick so I’ll stay away from friends who do a lot of eating and drinking para maka-focus ako sa role ko.”

Also in “My Destiny” are Tom Rodriguez as the man over whom Carla and Rhian become rivals, Sid Lucero, Lorna Tolentino and Al Tantay as the parents of Carla and Rhian, Kuh Ledesma and Dennis Roldan as the parents of Tom and Ruru Madrid, Sid Lucero, Ayen Laurel and newcomers Ashley Ortega and Gabrielle Garcia, directed by Joyce Bernal who said in the presscon she doesn’t care much about ratings but here we are wishing that the show will rate really well.
