SARAH LAHBATI’s mom, Esther, continues to post negative stories about Richard Gutierrez’ family on social media. She narrated how she cared for Baby Zion as a newborn and how she took care of him when the baby was brought from to Switzerland to California. She said: “Lahat ng hirap, kami. Tapos ngayon ang claim ng Lola, sila ang nag-alaga. Wow! Maliwanag pa sa sikat ng araw ang pictures na ito. From Switzerland to LA, kami lang laging mag-lola sa hirap. Pero ano itong nangyayaring to?”
She says in effect that she’s the one who worked hard in caring for Baby Zion when he was still being hidden from the public. But now that he’s been exposed, it’s Richard’s family who’s getting the credit for it.
Once again, Richard refuses to react on this. Maybe it should Sarah who should remind her mom that such private things should not be shared on social media as the public will just feast on it. They can just thresh things out in private and with more discretion.
Richard says he’d rather dwell on the promo of his drama-thriller, “Overtime”, which opens on July 2. “Gusto ko, sa positive lang tayo. I’m working hard to be able to give Baby Zion a good future. Let’s not be distracted by negative things.”
Didn’t he and Sarah talk about getting married in secret when they found out she’s preggy? “Yes, but we want a grand wedding involving our families. It’s sad kung kaming dalawa lang. Darating din naman doon pero kailangang paghandaan muna namin. There’s a right time for everything. Basta very positive ang dating ni Baby Zion sa buhay ko. I felt I became more mature in everything. Hindi na mainitin ang ulo ko at napuno ang puso ko ng pagmamahal. I don’t want to waste my time on negativity, let’s just all move forward as a family.”
Isn’t he worried that he plays a contravida role in “Overtime” as he put a bomb on Lauren Young? “Actually, vida-contravida siya. It’ll be explained later why I did that. May valid reason, but of course, I can’t reveal it here. You have to watch the movie to find out why.”
