Chanel Latorre To Be Seen In Seven New Films And One New Mini Series

CHANEL LATORRE did so many movies last year like “Babagwa”, “Lihis”, “Lauriana”, etc. This year, she’s at it again with seven new movies and a TV series. She plays the role of Louise de los Reyes’ friend in “Island Dreams”, directed by Gino Santos and Aloy Adlawan, to be shown in theatres on July 23. “Pokpok ako rito pero comedy ang approach kasi ang dream ko, makapag-asawa ng foreigner na maghahango sa’kin sa hirap,” she says. “It’s a welcome breaker for me kasi last year puro drama ang ginawa ko. Nasa coming Cinemalaya entry rin ako ni Direk Joel Lamangan, ‘Hustisya’. I play a prisoner na nakasama ni Nora Aunor in prison. She tries to befriend me kaso, baliw ako. Katatapos ko rin lang ang isa pang comedy, ‘Beauty in a Bottle’, for Quantum Films ni Atty. Joji Alonso. I play Assunta de Rossi’s eccentric secretary. Then I did a political drama shot in Maguindanao, ‘Maratabat’, directed by Arlyn de la Cruz. Based ito sa Maguindanao massacre and I play the wife of the governor, si Ping Medina. I also just finished ‘Magkakabaung (The Coffin Maker)’ ni Direk Jason Paul Laxamana. I play Allen Dizon’s girlfriend. May ginawa rin akong movie shot in Mauban, Quezon, ‘Resiko’, which means advance or bale. Wife ako ni Sid Lucero, directed by Lem Llorca. And I have a big international project, produced and directed by Italian filmmaker Ruben Soriquez, ‘Of Sinners and Saints’. Kasama ko sina Raymond Bagatsing and Polo Ravales. Battered wife ako ni Polo at talagang binugbog niya ako rito. It’ll be shown in Italy. Sa TV, I’m now taping ‘Sa Puso ni Dok’, a mini-series about doctors for GMA News TV. I play Dennis Trillo’s dying girlfriend.”
