CHYNNA ORTALEZA is part of GMA’s Kapuso Kontrabidas. She currently plays Glaiza de Castro’s rival over Benjamin Alves in the hit afternoon show, “Dading”. “Human naman ang character ko dito na may both good and bad traits compared to other villain roles I’ve done before na sobrang sama,” she says. “I feel so happy dahil I’m also in three new movies na hindi naman ako kontrabida. Two films are both starring Nora Aunor. In ‘Dementia’ which we filmed on location in Batanes, sister ako ni Ate Guy na may mental defect. In ‘Hustisya’ naman of Direk Joel Lamangan, naging magkaibigan kami sa loob ng jail dahil sabay kaming nabilanggo. Nang lumaya kami, ginawa niya kong assistant niya sa illegal activities niya. It’s really a great experience working with her. Yung isang film ko is ‘Hashtag Y’, with Elmo Magalona. I play a worker in a foundation helping drug addicts and teenage moms.”
Though her career is doing well, her lovelife is zero. She’s been loveless since she broke up with Railey Valeroso after almost 10 years of going steady. “We were so young nang maging committed kami to each other. We tried to save it, pero wala nang growth, e. Looking back, naging hindrance din yung relationship namin for me as I had to turn down other roles. I had to let go of it para mas gumaan ang mga bagay-bagay. Mas okay ngayon and I feel na kung bibigyan ako ng big challenges sa career ko, kahit daring basta magandang project, wala na akong tatanggihan.”
