Jeric Gonzalez Proud To Do Two Movies With Nora Aunor, 'Dementia' & 'Hustisya'

PROTEGEE male winner Jeric Gonzales doesn’t have a new soap now like his female counterpart, Thea Tolentino who’s in “The Half Sisters”. He says he doesn’t know why and we tell him may he’ll do his own, “The Half Brothers”. He laughs and says that while GMA hasn’t given him a new assignment, he’s attending various workshops to improve his craft. “Nag-acting workshop na uli ako, also singing working, and now, I’m taking up a public speaking course to improve my hosting, especially in English”, he says. “Okay ring wala akong soap kasi nakatapos naman ako ng two new movies, both with Nora Aunor no less, ‘Dementia’ and ‘Hustisya’.”

How did he get them? “For ‘Dementia’, I auditioned kay Direk Perci Intalan. Ang dami naming nag-audition, I’m so glad akong nakuha. It brought me to Batanes where we shot it on location. First time ko. Sobrang ganda roon. I’m an Ivatan tourist guide who brought Jasmine Curtis Smith and Bing Loyzaga around. Kamag-anak sila ni Nora Aunor who’s suffering from dementia. In ‘Hustisya’, hindi na ko nag-audition. Ni-refer lang ako ng GMA Artist Center. Anak ako ni Sunshine Dizon at apo ni Nora Aunor. Student ako na nag-drugs, nahuli at nabilanggo.”

So how’s it working with the Superstar? “It’s a great experience. Most of my scenes are with her. Sobrang kaba ko noong una, pero ang bait niya. Tinawag ako agad ng anak. Lahat kami sa 'Dementia' cast, pati crew, binigyan ng pera. Tapos noong cast party, nagpa-raffle siya at nanalo uli ako ng P5,000. Generous siya.”
