Louise De Los Reyes On The Truth About Her Romance With Aljur Abrenica & Her Pregnancy

LOUISE DE LOS REYES quickly dismisses the rumor that she’s pregnant and Aljur Abrenica is the father. “Naku naman, tumaba lang ako, buntis na agad,” she says at the presscon of her new movie, “Island Dreams”. “Hindi ba puedeng napasarap lang ang kain ko? May photo ako sa Instagram na buntis pero kuha yun sa isang episode sa ‘Magpakailanman’ na preggy ang role ko at ipalalabas this Saturday (tonight.)”

Once and for all, is she the reason why Aljur Abrenica and Kylie Padilla broke up and is it true Enzo Pineda split from her because of this? “It’s time for me to break my silence and say my piece. Aljur and I never had a relationship. He’s just a friend. Naging close kami while doing ‘Kambal Sirena’ but not just us kundi ang buong cast and staff. May group kami sa social media, patuloy kaming nagkukumustahan, lumalabas nang magkakasama. I’m very much single now and happy. I’m not even dating anyone.”

How come she didn’t talk at the height of the rumors about them? “People already jumped into their own conclusions, making their own opinions at ang hirap kontrahin ang sinasabi nila. At that stage, we felt anuman ang sabihin namin, magsalita man kami, hindi rin nila tatanggapin. Kasi very fresh pa. Magsalita man kami, sasabihin pinalalaki namin to help promote our show. So we said wag na lang tayo sumagot and let’s just focus on our work para mas pagandahin ang show. Ngayong tapos na ang show, nag-die down na mga tsismis, nagkaroon na ng time makapagnilay-nilay, then nililinaw ko ng walang katotohanan lahat ng tsismis sa amin.”

Why doesn’t she clear things up with Enzo and Kylie? “I really want to reach out to them kasi, let’s face it, napakaliit ng showbiz, magkakasama kami sa GMA kaya tiyak na magkikita rin kami. Nagpasabi na ko sa camp ni Kylie na sana, makapag-usap kami, but in the meantime, I pray, I lift it all up to God, para maayos Niya in His own time.”

How about Enzo? “He’s the one who ended our relationship. Masakit din kasi three years kami at naging masaya naman kami. Minahal ko siya, pero natapos lang ng walang proper closure. At this point, hindi ko alam kung kaya kong magmahal agad ng iba.”

So what are her plans while waiting for her next soap? “Heto, busy promoting ‘Island Dreams’. This is produced by KenAu Production, written by Aloy Adlawan who co-directed it with Gino Santos. It won the Most Gender Sensitive Award in the last Metro filmfest. I play Julie, a tourist guide in Subic who’s dreaming to be a singer. My leading man is American actor Alex Petitprez, who plays Zach, a foreign tourist who falls in love with me. Also in the cast is Irma Adlawan and Chanel Latorre. It opens in theatres on July 23. Plan ko rin to travel sa ibang countries with a different culture to broaden my horizons.”
