GMA-7 SIGNED up Jonas Gaffud’s Mercator Agency’s newest talent, Ken Alfonso, and he’s now included in the cast of the hit afternoon soon, “Dading”. “I play Martin, owner of a resto-bar who’s the good friend of Benjamin Alves, who plays Jomer,” he says. “I'm glad that this is my first acting assignment kasi puro mababait ang mga kasama kong staff and co-actors, also our director, Ricky Davao. They know I’m a newcomer and they’re very generous in giving me advice. Kaya naman inspired ako lagi to do my best kahit ninenerbiyos pa rin ako sa pagharap ko sa kamera. Nakakapagod pala mag-taping kasi inaabot ng umaga, but very fulfilling naman. Feeling artista na talaga ako.”
Ken was supposed to make his acting debut in TV5’s “Pretty Little Liars” but it was not meant to be as the series was shelved even before he has started taping for them. “Nakatakda talagang sa GMA-7 ako unang makapagtrabaho and I’m very thankful for that. Ibig sabihin, mas meant to be na maging Kapuso talaga ako. And now, I heard na yung single kong ‘Umaasa’ na palabas na sa Youtube ang music video, gagamitin daw ngayong theme song ng latest Koreanovela ng GMA, ang ‘Secret Love’. The song was launched sa ‘Sunday All Stars’ and I’m so proud na ginagamit na siya ngayon in a telenovela.”
