Public Sentiment Is So Against Aljur Abrenica In His Decision To Leave GMA-7

ALJUR ABRENICA must have been surprised by the vehemence of public reaction (similar to that of Sarah Lahbati) against his decision to leave GMA-7 because “napapabayaan” siya. He should really think twice as he’s actually one of the network’s fair haired boys. After “Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko”, he was quickly cast in “Kambal Sirena”. He’s was given the movie “Abel at Cain” with Alden Richards, but he nixed it. It’s now alleged that he feels insecure of Alden. He’s a winner in Starstruck. Alden tried to get into Starstruck but was rejected right during the auditions, until GMA-7 gave him a break in “Alakdana”. Alden was quickly paired with Marian Rivera in a soap and now, he’s co-hosting a new reality show, “Bet ng Bayan” with Regine Velasquez. He’s also a frequent guest in GMA shows, like “Magpakailanman” and “Vampire ang Daddy Ko”. “Kaya naman nai-insecure si Aljur,” says one Aljur supporter.

Aljur’s break up with Kylie Padilla was also mentioned as one reason he felt he should be released from his GMA contract, when it was he who broke up with her via a phone call. No wonder Robin called him a gay. He said he lost his Bench endorsement because of shows GMA made him do, but Bench said he was dropped because he won’t pose in his briefs, like their other models.

It’s said Aljur is also envious of Paulo Avelino, another loser in Starstruck whose career soared when he moved to ABS-CBN. So that’s where he’s allegedly planning to go. Aljur is a winner in Starstruck 4. His two other co-winners, Martin Escudero and Jewel Mische also left GMA-7 and moved somewhere else. Where are they now? It’s only Kris Bernal who has remained with GMA-7.

It also doesn’t help that Aljur is being aligned with Claudine Barretto and her lawyer. If you’d read netizen reactions, most of them are negative for Claudine and her lawyer, especially after the lawyer guested in “Face the People” and there was a poll where people urged them to admit their relationship already. They’ve even become a laughing stock.
