ANNE CURTIS denies rumors that she and beau Erwan Huessaff have called it quits. “Ano ba yan? Bakit pilit kaming pinaghihiwalay?” she says. “Hindi naman showbiz si Erwan, e. Siguro it’s because we don’t post our fotos ands mushy messages together on social media, so akala ng iba, wala na kami. But it’s our deliberate choice. We just want to keep everything private. I don’t think the rumors naman will stop even if we don’t make it private. Si Erwan, he just laughs at it na lang.”
How about the accusation she’s a “lasengga” or drunkard? “Okay lang. I had worse issues said about me. Alam mo naman ang bashers, lagi silang may maiisip about celebrities they want to bash. I admit naman that I do drink, kung minsan, nalalasing ako talaga. But at least, I’m honest about it. I never claimed naman that I’m perfect. I’ve made some mistakes, pero hindi ko tinago, I admitted they were mistakes. And most people can relate to that kasi we’re not all saints naman, di ba?”
“The Gifted” director, Chris D. Martinez, says that he signed up to do a movie with Viva only on condition that he will be given the chance to direct her. How does she feel about this? “Siempre, it’s flattering. And I really enjoy working with him naman also. He’s full of brilliant funny ideas and I guarantee you that viewers will be laughing their heads off when they watch this movie. Marami talagang very funny incidents, lalo na nga’t super galing din ang mga kasama ko ritong sina Christine Reyes and Sam Milby. The audience will really have a good time and come out of the theatre with a smile on their faces.”
Sam revealed that after they broke up in 2008, they weren’t on speaking terms for four years. “It helped na nagkaroon ng gap kasi when we got to work together again, we had a fresh start. It didn’t work for us as mag-boyfriend but as a friend, he’s amazing. Mabait talaga siya and I enjoyed working with him again.”
Did Erwan object when she was paired with Sam again in “The Gifted”? “No, he’s not the seloso type. He never said, don’t work with Sam anymore. Four years na kami. He knows he can trust me.”
