“Yes, I do,” she says. “Very thankful po ako sa breaks na binibigay nila sa’kin, sa tambalan namin ni Miguel Tanfelix. May ‘Nino’ na kami, may ‘Ismol Family’ pa kami na both very good projects kaya laging mataas ang ratings.”
Can she relate to Miguel’s character in “Nino” as a special child? “Yes, I sympathize with Nino and all children na kagaya niya, I feel na kaming mga walang ganung kakulangan, we have the obligation and responsibility na tumulong at magturo sa kanila. Kailangan ng mga taong iintindi sa kanila.”
Working with Miguel in two shows, what has she discovered about him? “Serious po siya’t committed sa work namin. Noong workshop pa lang namin, napansin ko nang malalim siya, hindi pa-cute lang.”
It’s said Miguel gave her flowers? “Yes, white roses. Gesture lang po ng friendship. Kasi before, hindi kami that close. Mas close ako sa kasama naming si Julian Trono na matagal kong co-star sa ‘Tropang Potchi’ noong child stars pa kami."
So are Miguel and Julian rivals over her attention on the set of "Nino"? "Ay hindi po. Friends lang kaming lahat. Na-appreciate ko naman ang flowers ni Miguel pero wala pong ligawang nangyayari. Pag may mga writer na pilit kaming ni-link sa isa’t isa, nire-remind po naming sobrang bata pa namin. At sobrang busy rin kami pareho sa work at studies kaya yun ang mas priority namin.”
What’s her wish for Miguel? “Sana, mas tumangkad pa siya. Kasi at 15, 5’5” siya. Sana pag 18 na siya, 6 footer na siya.”
This week in “Nino”, Dante Rivero as Don Pedro wants to clear his conscience and admits to Angelu de Leon as Leny that he was the one who killed her parents. Leny cannot forgive him and also breaks her friendship with Katrina Halili as Hannah, Dante’s daughter. Leny is so sad and Miguel as Nino wants his mom to be happy again. Nino also asks Bianca as Gracie why she has no dad of her own.
