“It’s inborn,” he says. “He had an operation when he was five years old pa lang, but it metastasized and went to his lungs. That’s what they are trying to eradicate right now. We’re all hoping and praying that he’ll get better. He’ll definitely get better since this is a curable case. But still, he’s on respirator. He’s got all tubes inserted sa loob niya. He’s in one of the best hospitals in America, California Pacific Medical Center, and they save lives. All the things that you want for your son to have during a situation like this are there. Doctors were really, 24 hours, doing their job, and thank God for that. I ‘d really like to thank ABS-CBN, Dreamscape, and Sir Deo Endrinal for allowing me to leave and visit my son. When I got back home, diretso ako sa taping and now dito sa presscon, but Sandy is still there. Our eldest son who’s based in New Zealand also flew there to be with his brother, also my mom and sister Pinky.”
He’s glad to be part of “Ikaw Lamang”. “I watched this show before. Nasa ‘Legal Wife’ pa ako noon. I never thought nga nang matapos ang ‘Legal Wife’, masasama naman ako dito sa ‘Ikaw Lamang, Book 2’. And I really like my role kasi very complex ang character ni Jake as Franco. I’m glad to be given that role ngayong senator na siya.”
