AFTER JAMES REID signed up with ABS-CBN, it’s the turn of Daniel Padilla to renew his contract with Star Cinema. After the big success of his “Dating the Gangster” with Kathryn Bernardo, they’re quickly given a new movie, once again to be directed by Cathy Molina. How about reports that their next soap will be the remake of the hit “Pangako Sa’Yo” that starred Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa ten years ago? “May gagawin nga kaming bagong teleserye to be directed daw Rory Quintos, pero wala pang kumpirmasyon kung ‘Pangako Sa’Yo’ nga iyon. For the first quarter of next year pa raw iyon.”
How does he feel about KathNiel being pitted against the James Reid-Nadine Lustre love team? “Walang problema sa amin yun. Para sa amin ni Kathryn, walang kumpitensiya, basta nagtatrabaho lang kami at nage-enjoy kami. May nagsusulat ding nai-insecure ako kay James. Sana, huwag na lang kami pag-awayin. At yung mga fans ng kanya-kanyang love team, huwag na lang kayo mag-away.”
