Jennylyn Mercado Friends With Her Ex-BF's Except Luis Manzano

JENNYLYN MERCADO is now busy with projects on TV and the big screen. She has started taping her new primetime soap, “Second Chances”, under director Laurice Guillen, co-starring Raymart Santiago, Camille Prats, Luis Alandy, Rafael Rosell, Frencheska Farr, and new child star discovery Joshen Bernardo. She is also shooting the new movie “English Only, Please!”, an entry of Atty. Joji Alonso’s Quantum Films to the Metro-Manila Filmfest, with Derek Ramsay.

How is it working with Derek? “Mabait siya,” she says. “First time namin to work together at naging comfortable kami agad sa isa’t isa. Walang ilangan. Very professional siyang katrabaho. Comedy ang ginagawa namin at masaya kami sa set, ang buong production. Walang nagagalit. Tawanan lang ang lahat.”

How come she’s being linked again to Dennis Trillo? “Hindi ko rin alam. Friends na kami after ng mga nangyari before at wala na kaming samaan ng loob. Hindi ko rin alam kung bakit ayaw tumigil ang tsismis sa amin.”

She’s also friends with another ex, Patrick Garcia, and she’s even willing to allow their son, Alex Jazz, to be the ring bearer when Patrick marries his current ladylove. How about Luis Manzano?

“Hindi pa. Almost one year na kaming wala, naka-move on na ako. Siguro pag nagkita kami uli, magiging friends na kami. I’m for him and Angel (Locsin). But as for me, hindi pa ko ready to get into another relationship. Mas enjoy ako being unattached na anak ko lang at career ang pinag-uukulan ko ng atensiyon.”
