Matteo Guidicelli On GF's Sarah Geronimo's Getting Jealous Because He Romances Carla Abellana & Isabelle Daza In 'Somebody To Love'

MATTEO GUIDICELLI denies the rumor that he and girlfriend Sarah Geronimo are having a spat because she didn’t join him in Cebu for the triathlon event he joined and this why he was also a no-show when Yes chose Sarah as their Most Beautiful celebrity this year. “I don’t know kunsaan galing yan but it’s definitely not true,” he says at the grand presscon of his first movie with Regal Entertainment, “Somebody to Love”. “I know Sarah was loaded with work that weekend and I was also busy during the Yes aware so, wala talagang issue as I even thanked her sa social media for her prayers for me in that event. I’m also very proud of her na she’s the Most Beautiful. Imagine, having the Most Beautiful girl as your girlfriend, who wouldn’t be proud of her?”

In “Somebody to Love”, he gets to romance both Carla Abellana and Isabelle Daza. He even has a torrid kissing scene with Isabelle. Didn’t Sarah get jealous? “No, she knows naman na work lang ito. I’ll even take her to watch the movie with me, not in the premiere night on Monday sa Megamall but sa regular screening.”

So how is he and Sarah’s protective parents? "We’re all okay. I respect their being protective. That’s their right. Sa ngayon, okay naman ang lahat. But love isn’t always easy, may challenges and obstacles pa rin, hindi naman mawawala yan. Basta lagi lang nating ipaglaban. Let's not talk about Sarah anymore. I don't want to be accused of using her to promote ‘Somebody to Love’.”

Mother Lily is so impressed with Matteo for being a true professional. “Mabait siya. Very polite. Kaya we got him again right away for ‘Shake Rattle & Roll 15’. We’re pairing him naman with Lovi Poe.”

Matteo says he really appreciates working with Regal. “They’re very efficient, lalo na working with Direk Joey Reyes who’s a fast worker. Nag-enjoy ako doing a feel good romantic movie like ‘Somebody to Love’ with him. Also, with Regal, I get the chance to work with Kapuso actresses like Carla, Isabelle and Lovi. It’s like widening your horizons and getting the chance to make more friends with various people in the industry.”

Matteo also reveals he’s now managed by Star Magic, no longer by Jojie Dingcong. “It’s a mutual decision. Pinag-usapan namin. But Tito Jojie will remain to be my consultant as he’s been with me since I was 14 years old.”
