Neil Ryan Sese Better Remembered By Public As The Dad Of Miguel Tanfelix In 'Nino'

NEIL RYAN SESE is so glad to be part of a hit series like “Niño”, where he plays David Inocente, the husband of Angelu de Leon and adoptive dad of Miguel Tanfelix who plays the title role. “Ang lakas ng impact ng show,” he shows. “Everywhere I go, kilala ako dahil sa ‘Niño.’”

Although his face is now familiar to people because of his exposure on TV, not everyone remembers his name. “Most of the time, they remember my role, but not my name.”

Neil is from Lucena and after high school, he went to UP in 1996 to take up Theater Arts. He started by handling costumes and props in Dulaang UP. His first venture into acting was two years later as part of the chorus in “Blood Wedding”. He got his first lead role in the Pilipino version of “Oedipus Rex”. Director Joel Lamangan then saw him in “Othello” and got him for his first TV role as a lawyer in “Your Honor”. This was followed by “Pangako Sa’Yo” and more soaps. He also did a lot of indie movies. Now managed by Director Maryo de los Reyes, he’s versatile enough to do both good guy and bad guy roles. He did bad guy roles in ‘Munting Heredera’ and ‘Anna Karenina’, but he now plays a responsible barangay captain, good husband and father in “Niño”.

This week, Angelu as Lenny and Katrina Halili as Hannah become friends again after they had a falling out because Katrina’s dad killed Angelu’s parents. Katrina got a call from Magda saying her missing son Miguel is still alive. But Jay Manalo as Lucio orders Magda to retract it then punishes Rafa Siguion Reyna as Rick for not having killed the boy before. Jay forces Rafa to reveal where Miguel is now but Rafa chooses to keep silent, not telling the truth that Miguel is actually the mentally challenged boy they now know as Niño.
