NATHALIE HART is the former Princess Tinkerbell Snell of Starstruck 5 in 2008, where Sarah Lahbati won. She was then only 16. She was given supporting parts by GMA and even joined “Survivor Philippines”, but her career never flourished. Instead, she became quite controversial when she got linked to Manny Pacquiao.
“It’s really not true,” she says. “Nakakahiya nga sa wife niya, e. So nag-lie low muna ako and now, I’m 22, a different, more responsible person. Nagpa-release ako sa contract ko with GMA and I’m under new management, so I changed my name to Nathalie Hart. My manager now is Leo Dominguez. Sila ni Ms. Roselle Monteverde ang nagbinyag sa’kin ng new name ko. I’m now ready for more mature roles, like the mistress role that I play in ‘Somebody to Love’, which is my first movie na makikilala na ako as Nathalie Hart. I don’t want to get involved in negative issues anymore. But siyempre, kababalik ko lang sa industry, siguro, ang mga tao malilito lang kung bakit ako nagpalit ng pangalan. I think they will be used to it in due time.”
From being a pa-cute teen star to a steamy screen siren, she feels like she’s starting all over again. “Kasi nga, kakasimula ko lang ulit. I’m hoping mas maganda ang mangyayari sa career ko this time and I’m very thankful to Regal kasi sunod-sunod ang movies ko sa kanila. In ‘Somebody to Love’, I play a beauty queen na may kalandian and I become the mistress of David Chua, husband ni Maricar Reyes. Palaban akong mistress and I’m urging him na hiwalayan na ang misis niya. I’m now also shooting the horror movie, ‘Dilim’, for Direk Joey Reyes, about a ghost in the university belt. In the ‘Flight 666’ episode of ‘Shake Rattle & Roll 15’, na entry naman sa Metro-Manila Filmfest in December, I play a flight attendant na kasabwat ng hijacker na si Baron Geisler. So hopefully, magtuloy-tuloy na ang acting career ko this time na ready na ako for more daring roles.”
