CRISTINE REYES is serious about her decision to refrain from doing sexy movies and TV shows. ABS-CBN is said to have a new teleserye for her with Angelica Panganiban, but she declined it as it will require her to go sexy once again.
“Like what I’ve said before, after ‘Trophy Wife’, gusto ko na talaga bawasan ang paggawa ng sexy films and teleseryes,” she says. “I think I’m done with going sexy and daring kasi ilang beses ko nang nagawa ito before. The Gifted’, is more of a comedy. I think viewers will also appreciate it. Kasi ang dami ko na ring nagawang sitcoms, including ‘Banana Split’, so hasa na rin ako and very comfortable in doing comedies. This is so different from our first movie together na ‘No Other Woman’, which is about infidelity and adultery.”
Will she also shun kissing scenes?
She enjoyed her role in “The Gifted” as a nerd with a huge nose, frizzy hair, thick eyebrows and crooked teeth. Pero kahit pangit, very brainy ako, just like Anne in the movie. Nagsimula kami as best of friends but we end up as rivals and enemies. Riotously funny ang mga eksena namin kaya kung gusto nyong matawa and forget your worries, panoorin nyo itong ‘The Gifted’.”
“The Gifted” will have its premiere night at SM Megamall and Glorietta tonight. It opens in theatres tomorrow.
