Dennis Evangelista Wants To Correct That Allen Dizon Won As Best Actor In Harlem International Filmfest And Not In Sundance Filmfest

DENNIS EVANGELISTA, producer of internationally award-winning films “Kamkam” and “Magkakabaung” requested us to correct the item that came out in Post It last Monday saying Allen Dizon won as best actor for “Magkakabaung” at the Sundance International Filmfest recently. “Please correct it for us,” he writes. “I never said it won in Sundance as no Filipino film has ever won there.

It’s so embarrasing. Allen won best actor at the 9th Harlem International Filmfest held in New York City, not in Sundance which is in Utah. It will be shown again in competition in another international filmfest in November but hindi pa puedeng i-reveal kung ano as they themselves will have to make the announcement. But Allen is definitely going there with Director Jason Laxamana.”
