Derek Ramsay And Ex-Wife Will Have An Amicable Settlement But The Harm To Derek Has Been Done

DEREK RAMSAY is busy with upcoming second season of “Amazing Race Philippines” which is about to start soon. But he must still be reeling from the ugly and controversial revelations his wife Mary Christine Jolly made at their confrontation at the Makati Prosecutor’s Court last Thursday. His 11-year old son, Austin, was present. He acknowledged the boy sas his own only a couple of years ago after DNA tests confirmed the boy is really his. The boy is obviously alienated from him and even called him an “evil person” in a letter he wrote to the judge handling the case. The boy also reportedly said: “I wish he would go to jail so he would finally know what it feels like to be treated with no respect. The truth will prevail not his lies.”

Mary Christine had the past girlfriends of Derek, Solenn Heussaff, Angelica Panganiban and Cristine Reyes, investigated to show he’s really a womanizer and irresponsible and also to see if she could file concubinage cases against Derek.

In her statement, Christine said she stayed silent for a long time but she feels it’s now time to fight for her rights as the official wife and also that of their child. She claimed Derek physically and verbally abused her. “It’s about time for me to come out because he publicly displays his wealth, his women. He treats his child as if he doesn’t exist. And as a woman, a mother and a wife, he started off being a bully that way. The reason that I come out now, because I am tired of being bullied.”

But the latest development is that she listened to the advice of the judge and eventually agreed to have an amicable settlement of the case she filed. Still and all, the harm has been done and it’s Derek who is badly battered in the eyes of the public.
