Four Young Women Fighting For Their Own Place In The Sun In GMA 7's New Primetime Soap, 'Strawberry Lane'

GMA-7’S “Strawberry Lane” assembles four of their teen princesses to play four friends in search of their own happiness. Bea Binene is Clarissa, a young girl who resorts to stealing to survive. Joyce Ching is Dorina, the long lost daughter of Sunshine Dizon and TJ Trinidad who’s forced to work as a housemaid. Kim Rodriguez is Jack, a tomboyish girl accused of arson in the factory where she works. Joanna Marie Tan as Lupe is the most ambitious among them, dreaming of being rich and famous at any cost.

Of the girls, Bea Binene openly admits her relationship with her leading man, Jake Vargas. Joyce and Joanna are both unattached. Kim is being linked to Kiko Estrada, the love son of Cheska Diaz and Gary Estrada, but she swears they’re just the best of friends since they first worked together in “Tween Hearts” three years ago and after they did the indie film “Chasing Boulevards”.

How come she addressed Kiko as her Baba in social media? “Ginaya ko lang yung mommy niya,” says Kim. “Baba kasi ang tawag sa kanya ng mom niya at inaasar ko siya. Hindi naman maiiwasan sa showbiz na i-pair kayo, i-link kayo lalo’t kayo ang magkapareha. Pero friends lang talaga kami. Kung kami talaga, aaminin ko naman. Mabait naman si Kiko, guwapo pa. But as of now, magkaibigan lang po kami.”
