JERIC GONZALES, male winner in “Protege”, is glad that he is given another show after “Pyra”, the youth-oriented family drama, “Strawberry Lane” that now airs after “24 Oras”. “Wala akong show for six months kasi sinabihan akong mag-acting workshop muna, na ginawa ko naman for my own good,” he says. “I think na-achieve ko naman ang advice nila na i-improve ko ang acting skills ko. Nakita ko naman yung mga kakulangan ko and now, I feel more ready sa pagharap sa kamera. At ngayong nabigyan uli ako ng project, determinado ako to show my best. Buti na lang, habang wala akong TV show, nasali ako sa cast ng dalawang movies. Una yung ‘Hustisya’, na nag-audition ako at nakuha naman. Tapos yung ‘Dementia’ na showing on Wednesday na. In both movies, nakasama ko si Miss Nora Aunor na talagang napakabait at very helpful kaya marami akong natutuhan sa kanya.”
In “Strawberry Lane”, he plays Georgie, the childhood friend of Rita de Guzman who plays Lavinia. He has a crush on Rita but as the story goes on, he will be closer to Kim Rodriguez as the tomboyish Jack and he realizes that he is more in love with Kim than with Rita. This afternoon at 5PM, Jeric and the rest of the cast will hold a free mall show at SM Dasmarinas in Cavite. Be sure to catch them there!
