KARYLLE was launched as the first celebrity endorser of Status Hair Salon owned by sisters Robina and Roseanne Ko. So how’s married life? “It’s very good, it’s fun,” she says. “I like it very much, lalo yung matutulog ka sa gabi at gigising ka sa umaga na may katabi ka.”
Do they plan to have a baby soon? “We’re open. It’s my mom (Zsa Zsa Padilla) who’s pressuring me. Gusto na raw niya ng apo. But it all depends kay Lord kung bibigyan na Niya kami agad.”
Does she approve of her mom’s new BF Conrad Onglao? “Yes, lagi nga akong sumasama sa dates nila. I like hanging out with them, it’s like two families blending together. And I can see na ang ganda-ganda ng mom ko ngayon.”
She is also blooming. Obviously, marriage becomes her. Any words for ex-BF Dingdong who’s also soon getting married? “I’m still on a wedding high. Everybody deserves a beautiful wedding, so I’d rather just keep quiet because anything I might say, baka ma-misinterpret pa.”
Has Billy Crawford returned to “Showtime” after his debacle with Taguig cops? “Not yet. Di nga namin alam when he’ll return.”
How come her co-hosts seem to be getting into controversies all the time? “I don’t know. Siguro dahil marami kami. Any little mistake, pinag-uusapan kaagad.”
Her husband Yael Yuson is now also a movie actor as he’s in the cast of “Shake, Rattle & Roll 15”. Did he ask her permission? “He doesn’t need it. He’s a movie buff and he’s a fan of the ‘Shake’ movies. May episode si Ana Roces in a past Shake movie na memorized pa niya ang lines so he’s happy to be now part of the latest ‘Shake’ movie. Buti nga siya, may movie, filmfest entry pa. Ako, wala.”
We ask the owners of Status Salon why they got Karylle as their endorser. “Matagal kaming nag-isip kung sino ang kukunin namin,” says Robina Ko. “We chose her as she’s young, hip and trendy. She’s visible on TV everyday and she’s also international as she has done TV shows like ‘Kitchen Musical’ and ‘Point of Entry’ abroad.”
“Enjoy ako sa Status Salon because, if you want privacy, they have a private room for you,” says Karylle. “I avail of their hair treatments and coloring, they also do my nails. What’s nice is they offer great service at very affordable prices. Actually, noong araw, I’m not the kikay type. But now that I’m married, gusto ko lagi akong maganda for my husband.”
