Kylie Padilla Feels Happier With Rayver Cruz Than When She's With Aljur Abrenica

KYLIE PADILLA is glad Mother Lily got her to do a horror movie with Regal, “Dilim”, directed by Joey Reyes. It pairs her for the first time with ABS-CBN’s Rayver Cruz. So how is it working with Rayver?

“I like him, sobrang bait niya,” she says. “Starstruck ako nung una kasi, bago pa ko mag-showbiz, Rayver Cruz na yan. Napapanood ko siya, ang husay sumayaw. I was nervous nung una pero nang magkita na kami, okay pala siya. Makulit din pero maasikaso. Masayang kasama. Matangkad.”

So she goes for tall guys? “Hindi naman matangkad si ano. (She refers to ex-BF Aljur Abrenica.) Ang layo ng hitsura noon. At least, kay Rayver, puede kong mag-six inch heels.”

So how is life after Aljur? “Better! Happier! Mas okey ngayon. Kung papipiliin ako, mas gusto ko ang Kylie ngayon than before.”

Any lessons learned from that experience? “Too many to mention. But it helped in making me more mature. Kasi before, I was focused on pag-ibig lang. I didn’t notice na marami na pala kong nasasaktan.”

Since she’s unattached and Rayver has also been single since Cristine Reyes and Sarah Geronimo, are they about to hook up with each other? “Ine-enjoy ko pa ang pagiging single. But let’s see what the future holds.”

Mother Lily butts in: “Pero bagay kayo. Si Rayver, ang guwapo, may height, maganda katawan. Ewan why he’s not being groomed as a leading man. Si Kylie, properly built up, puedeng maging kasinsikat ni Anne Curtis.”

Rayver, 25, and Kylie, 21, both thanked her for giving them the opportunity to work together. What’s Kylie’s role in “Dilim”? “I’m Maritess, nursing student from the province. Tumira ako in this dorm na haunted pala by two previous girls na tumira roon, Nathalie Hart and Ella Cruz. Sa akin sila nagpapakita. Rayver helps me discover why they disappeared. Nakipagkita sila sa text mates nila, tapos, hindi na nakita uli. This is a Halloween presentation. We open on October 22. Ang galing ni Direk Joey Reyes. Nakakatakot talaga. Ako, when they sent me the script, I was reading it in my room, biglang nagpatay-bukas ang ilaw. Ang takot ko. I hope it’s a sign na marami talagang tatakutin ang pelikulang ito.”

On TV, Kylie is now taping the historical drama, “Ilustrado”, with Alden Richards playing Jose Rizal and with her playing Leonor Rivera.
