Lauren Young Forgot Her Lines While Taping Her First Scene With Dennis Trillo

MEGAN YOUNG’S reign as Miss World will end in a couple of months. Her sister, Lauren, says that the Miss World authorities are so pleased with her one-year stint with them as she proved to be really helpful and dedicated in the charity works that the pageant is doing. “Masipag talaga kasi siya at kahit saan papuntahin, hindi tumututol kaya sabi, mag-stay pa raw siya with them,” says Lauren. “Pero nami-miss ko na rin siya. Umuwi man siya sa Pilipinas, sandali lang and flies out again right away. She has travelled all over the world from Europe to Asia to the Americas.”

Since the search for Miss World Philippines is now on, how about her joining it and she might be Megan’s successor?

“Sorry, but joining beauty pageants is not really my cup of tea. Siya talaga ang gustong maging beauty queen. Ako, mas gusto ka talaga to be an actress and I’m glad sunod-sunod naman ang assignments ko sa GMA-7.”



She’s thrilled to play Dennis Trillo’s girlfriend in “Hiram na Alaala” that starts airing tomorrow after “My Destiny”. “Some people think I’m contravida here to Kris Bernal, pero hindi, kawawa nga ako rito. Kasi ako ang girlfriend ni Dennis but when he met Kris, nabaling ang pagtingin niya rito at nakalimutan ako.”

So how is it working with Dennis? “I’ve long been wanting to work with him kaya noong first taping day namin together, natulala ako. He’s very good looking at ang scene, intimate kami. We’re looking at each other closely at maganda ang conversation namin bilang mag-boyfriend and girlfriend. Ayun, nalimutan ko ang lines ko, hindi ko siya matingnan at hindi ako nakaaarte. So embarrassing. First time nangyari sa akin ’yon. Kasi nasanay na ako to work with veterans pero… in a way, iba ang effect, hahaha! First time pa lang ng namin to tape, tapos, may kissing scene na kami agad. Ano ba ’yon?”

Home come she’s affected by Dennis that way? “Because I sooo admire him! I think he’s a brilliant actor! I have a crush on him! Crush lang, no malice, ha. Cute kasi niya. Magaling umarte. Talented. But hanggang crush lang talaga. Kasi I don’t date my co-actors. That’s it talaga. I never dated my co-actors and I’d like to keep it that way. I prefer na ihiwalay ’yung personal at professional life ko. Ayoko ng pupunta ako sa set tapos hindi ako makaka-focus kasi iisipin ko nandun ang BF ko. Kilala ko ang sarili ko na kapag nandiyan ang taong gusto ko, siyempre, you want to be sweet. Gusto mo, kayo maglambingan. Ayoko ng ganun. Mas mabuti kung trabaho, puro trabaho lang.”
