Our Personal Choices To Win In The Himig Handog Songwriting Contest That Will Have Its Finals This Sunday Night

SO WHICH IS YOUR bet in the songwriting competition, “Himig Handog Pinoy Pop (P-Pop) Love Songs 2014,” that will hold its finals tomorrow night at the Big Dome? Hosted by Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Robi Domingo, and Alex Gonzaga, the event see some of the brightest recording stars in the country sing the finalist songs. Morissette will interpret “Akin Ka Na Lang” by Francis Louis Salazar’; Jessa Zaragoza, “Bumabalik ang Nagdaan” by Sarah Jane Gandia; Jovit Baldivino, “Dito” by Raizo Brent Chabeldin and Biv De Vera; Ebe Dancel with Abra for “Halik sa Hangin” by David Dimaguila; Angeline Quinto, “Hanggang Kailan” by Jose Joel Mendoza; Juris; "Hindi Wala" by Nica del Rosario; Jed Madela, “If You Don’t Want to Fall” by Jude Gitamondoc; Janella Salvador, “Mahal Kita Pero” by Melchora Mabilog, KZ Tandingan, “Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako” by Edwin Marollano; Michael Pangilinan, “Pare Mahal Mo Raw Ako” by Jovinor Tan; Marion Aunor featuring Rizza and Seed, “Pumapag-ibig” by Jungee Marcelo; Daniel Padilla, “Simpleng Tulad Mo” by Meljohn Magno; Bugoy Drilon, “Umiiyak ang Puso” by Rolando Azor; and Jugs and Teddy, “Walang Basagan ng Trip” by Eric De Leon. Songwriter-finalist Hazel Faith dela Cruz will be the interpreter of her own composition, “Everything Takes Time.”

Our personal faves are the songs of Jessa, KZ, and Morisette. But if the judges will be young, we’re sure they’ll prefer the songs of Daniel or Janella. Tickets to the “Himig Handog” finals night are now available at the Ticketnet. For more details, visit Ticketnet.com.ph or call 911-5555.
