Rep. Lito Atienza's 'Maynila' On GMA-7 Celebrates Its 16th Anniversary With A Relaunch

REP. LITO ATIENZA’s “Maynila” is one of the longest running shows on TV, aired Saturdays at 10:30 AM. It started in November 1998 and for its 16th anniversary, they’re relaunching it as “Maynila, Ang Kuwento Mo”. You can email to them your own suliranin or problem thru their Facebook fanpage and it will be dramatized, with Rep. Lito Atienza offering some valuable advice. “Before, we focused on stories about teenage romance,” he says. “Now, we’ll offer a wholistic view of the lives of people in Manila, both young and old.”

This Saturday, they offer “Papa’s Girl”, starring Krystal Reyes who can’t accept that her widowed dad is in love with another woman. She’s paired with Julia Trono. On September 20, the story “Two Hearts, One Love” stars Max Collins as a girl who discovers that her boyfriend Carl Guevarra is having an affair with another girl, Stephanie Sol. On September 27, Charee Pineda stars as a plain looking girl in “You’re Beautiful”, who is ignored by her crush, Pythos Ramirez. She has a makeover and becomes beautiful but becomes haughty and difficult to deal with. On October 4, Empress Schuck plays a girl who falls for her gay best friend, Kristoffer Martin in “Bet Ko si Beki”. On October 11, Nadine Samonte plays an alalay who unselfishly supports her boyfriend, Mark Herras, an artista wannabe. But as Mark gains fame, other girls are attracted to him, making Nadine feel so insecure in “One Proud Love”. Find out what advice Rep. Lito Atienza gives to the problems of the lead characters in these stories.
