Sheena Halili And Ex-BF Rocco Nacino Reunited In 'Hiram Na Alaala'

SHEENA HALILI has not had a regular show since “Binoy Henyo” that was shown a year ago. The boy who played her son there, David Remo, has done “Nino” and it has already ended, but Sheena was just a guest in shows like “Magpakailanman” and “Wagas”.

“I went back to school and I’m a freshman sa Philippine School of Interior Design habang wala akong trabaho,” she says. “It’s in The Fort so I rented a place muna in Rockwell kasi sa Commonwealth Avenue ang bahay namin dito sa Manila. Interior design ang kinuha ko kasi connected ito sa construction business ng family namin.”

She’s glad when she was informed that she’s joining the cast of “Hiram na Alaala”. “Special participation daw ako as a probinsiyana who’ll get involved with Rocco Nacino. Nag-taping na ako with him sa Nueva Ecija. My character, Yasmien, will appear this coming week. I don’t know yet kung makakasama siya up to the end.”

So how is it working with Rocco, her ex-boyfriend who’s now on with Lovi Poe? “This is the first time we work together in a drama, but nagkatrabaho na kami before in ‘Bubble Gang’ so okay naman kami. First taping day namin, siya ang unang nag-hi agad sa akin. Medyo awkward at first, but mga artista naman kami so we were able to enact our roles well.”

Will they have a kissing scene? “I don’t know yet. Basta I told GMA na at this point, 27 na ako, ready na ako magpaka-aktres, so kakayanin yan ng powers ko. Ako naman, I don’t dwell on the past. Tapos na yung sa amin so move on na.”

How does she feel that Rocco is now on with Lovi Poe? “Naku, huwag na lang ako makialam about Lovi. Happy na ako na happy sila together.”

Does she also have a boyfriend now? “Wala. Suitors yes, and meron isang masugid na manliligaw who’s special for me. Non-showbiz. Businessman siya.”

When her contract with GMA Artist Center expired recently, she chose to be co-managed by GMAAC with Becky Aguila. “I asked the advice of Jennylyn (Mercado) and she referred me to Tita Becky. I felt I need her personal touch to chart kunsaan papunta ang career ko. Para siyang mommy sa akin.”

She’s part of the first Starstruck batch and she’s glad that all of them remain in touch with each other. “May viber group kami na nagkakausap kami madalas. Kainggit nga sina Jen, Yasmien, Katrina at Mark, may mga anak na.”

So does she intend to have one soon? “No, gusto ko, kasal muna bago baby.”

Meanwhile, GMA-7 is very happy that the pilot week of “Hiram na Alaala” rated very high. They were first afraid it might not equal the rating of its successor, “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real”, which was a toprater. But “Hiram na Alaala’s” first episodes turned out to have higher ratings than that of “Dalawang Mrs. Real”, thanks to Dennis Trillo’s strong presence in the lead role and Director Dominic Zapata’s masterful handling of the material that pays tribute to our soldiers.
