Sheryl Cruz Not Sure Of Ex-Husband Norman Bustos' Status: 'I Don't Even Know If He Has Remarried'

SHERYL CRUZ is back with GMA-7 in “Strawberry Lane” that now airs after “24 Oras”. She was last seen on ABS-CBN’s “Galema”. “At home din naman ako sa GMA kasi marami rin akong nagawang shows dito like ‘Grazilda’, ‘Rosalinda’, ‘Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin’,” she says. “’Strawberry Lane’ is reunion namin ni Sunshine Dizon, na nakasama ko noon in ‘Bakekang’.”

She turned 40 last April 5 but looks younger than her age. “I thank God I don’t have to resort to any cosmetic enhancement like nagpa-botox gaya ng ibang mga artista ngayon.”

How’s her daughter Ashley? “Ayun, teenager na at 13. Nag-perform na nga sa ‘Sunday All Stars’.”

Will she let Ashley join showbiz? “Bahala siya in what she wants. But right now, I tell her to focus on her studies. She’s with St. Paul at very strict sila sa ganyan.”

How’s her ex-husband, Norman Bustos? “He and Ashley communicate regularly, but kami, hindi. I don’t even know his status now, if he has remarried or what, but I’m thankful regular ang support niya kay Ashley. In fairness to him, he’s a very caring and responsible dad.”

In “Strawberry Lane”, she plays Monique, the eldest child of Boots Anson Roa. Her siblings are Sunshine Dizon and Christian Bautista. She is angry with Sunshine because her own child died while under the care of Sunshine, so she’s determined to make her sister’s life miserable.
