Tom Rodriguez' Request To Those Who Pressure Her To Romance Carla Abellana: 'Don't Rush Us'

TOM RODRIGUEZ’ career really blossomed when he moved to GMA-7. After his star-turning role in “My Husband’s Lover”, he now stars in “My Destiny”, did several movies, and now, he’s also a game show host for GMA’7’s newest show, “Don’t Lose the Money”. “Sobrang kinakabahan ako kasi first time ko to host a game show,” he says. “But I really want to thank GMA-7 for trusting in me at binigyan ako ng ganitong project. Dito masusubukan kung may ibubuga ba ako sa hosting. Ang nakakatuwa, masaya talaga ang show at namimigay talaga ng maraming salapi ang GMA dito. It will start airing this Monday morning to be aired right ‘Basta Everyday Happy’.”

Tom was delighted when Carla Abellana dropped by on the taping of “Don’t Lose the Money”. Does this mean something serious is now really going on between them?

“Hindi lang naman ako ang dinalaw niya, but also Dennis Trillo kasi si Dennis ang contestant namin that time. Naging close talaga kaming tatlo while doing ‘MHL’. I’m glad patuloy niya kaming sinusuportahan. Huwag nyo muna kaming i-rush tungkol sa lovelife. Dara­ting din tayo d’yan. As of now, nag-iipon ako to get my own house here in Manila. But not for me kundi for my parents who are now based in the U.S. Gusto ko, dito sila mag-retire. Kapag nagawa ko na yun, dun pa lang ako mag-iisip about my own lovelife. As of now, 26 lang ako, I’m not really ready to settle down. Ngayon pa lang bumubuwelo ang career ko, so work muna ang priority ko.”
