Toni Gonzaga Won't Pressure Boyfriend To Propose To Her Just Because Other Actresses Are Now Engaged

TONI GONZAGA says she doesn’t feel pressured to tie the knot soon just because other stars her age have become officially engaged recently, like Marian Rivera and Heart Evangelista. “Ang dami na nilang naka-booked, nag-aagawan na nga ng venue, makikisabay pa ba kami? Ibigay na natin sa kanila,” she says.

She’ll have a big 15th anniversary concert at the SM MOA Arena, “Celestine”, on October 3. Is there a possibility her BF of five years, Director Paul Soriano, would propose to her there officially.

“I don’t think so,” she says. “It’s not in the nature of Paul’s personality to do that. At masisira lang ang concert kung mag-iiyak ako at hindi na ako makakanta.”

She’s happy that Piolo Pascual agreed to be a guest in her concert. They just did the blockbuster “Starting Over Again”. “Pumuede siya kasi he’ll be in an event at MOA for a supermarket. So from there, diretso na siya sa concert ko. Guests ko rin sina Vice Ganda ang my sister Alex, with whom I’ll do production numbers. The concert is produced by Pops Fernandez, directed by Paolo Valenciano, son of Gary V, and Homer Flores is musical director. International designer Rocky Gathercole will do my outfits. I’m excited with ‘Celestine’ kasi this is my first concert that will really showcase my musicality. Although I’m better known now in hosting and acting, true love has way of coming back and first love ko naman talaga ang singing. I was 13 when I joined Metropop and other amateur singing contests. Now, I’m doing something I really love, singing. I won’t do too many cover versions in my show. I’ll sing mostly songs from my own albums, mula sa opening number up to the finale.”
