DENNIS TRILLO is surely one of our busiest actors today. On TV, he’s now being seen in the hit GMA soap, “Hiram na Alaala”. On the big screen, he plays the title role of a cop turned hitman in the hardhitting action-drama, “The Janitor”, that opens today in theatres nationwide. He’s also shooting “Shake, Rattle & Roll 15” with Carla Abellana.
“Buti nga natapos na ang ‘Sa Puso ni Doc’ kaya lesser na ang load ko,” he says. “But it’s nice to be busy. Para trabaho na lang ang focus mo and not other things.”
He promoted “The Janitor” in “The Buzz” last Sunday and he expressed his desire to do a movie with Star Cinema, like what another Kapuso actor, Dingdong Dantes, does. “It’ll be really nice to work with other stars,” he says.
Given the chance, he’d like to work with Anne Curtis or Maja Salvador. In “The Janitor”, he stands out not only in the drama scenes with wife LJ Reyes and oppressive dad Dante Rivero, but also in his slambang action scenes with Derek Ramsay, Alex Medina and Raymond Bagatsing. “I really prepared hard for those very physical scenes. Puro habulan, sapakan at barilan ang mga eksena kaya sana, makatulong ito para maibalik ang interest ng viewers sa action films.”
“The Janitor” is masterfully directed by Mike Tuviera and it’s an entry in the 5th Festival Internacional de Cinema do Porto in Portugal in February, 2015. Dennis hopes he’ll be able to go to the delegation that will represent the film as this is the first time he’ll be attending an international filmfest.
