They became officially on after they travelled together to Hongkong Disneyland last August. Elmo says their relationship didn’t happen overnight.
“Actually, matagal na kaming magkakilala,” he says. “Three years ago pa, starting sa ‘Party Pilipinas’. Even then, alam ko nang mabait siya, bukod sa maganda pa. But I was seeing someone else. Then we were paired in ‘Villa Quintana’ and we became closer. We discovered na magkasundo pala kami sa maraming bagay in so many ways.”
In “More than Words”, Elmo plays Hiro, the dream boy of Janine who plays Ikay, a geeky girl taunted by everyone in their school for being a weirdo. Also in the cast are Jaclyn Jose as Ikay’s mom, Gardo Versoza as Hiro’s stepdad, Yayo Aguila as Hiro’s mom, plus Enzo Pineda, Stephanie Sol, Mikoy Morales, Mayton Eugeneio and Coleen Perez. “More than Words” also stages the comeback of the Rey PJ Abellana and Leni Santos love team who hit it big in the 80s in the original “Anna Liza”. They play a couple who become Hiro’s foster parents when he gets lost after an accident. “More than Words” starts airing on Monday, November 3, at 6 PM, before “24 Oras”.
