John Lapus Denies He's Sore At Vice Ganda, Just Praying 'Moron 5.2' Will Be A Big Hit

JOHN LAPUS is happy that his hit movie with Luis Manzano, Billy Crawford, Marvin Agustin and DJ Durano last year, “Moron 5 and the Crying Lady”, now has a sequel, “Moron 5.2 The Transformation”. He reprises the role of Becky Pamintuan, the mortal enemy of the five morons. In the sequel, he is released from the mental hospital and vows to take revenge on the morons, with the 5th moron now played by Matteo Guidicelli.

“Riot sa katatawanan ang pelikula, garantisado, malilimutan nyo ang inyong problema dahil tatawa kayo from start to end sa comic scenes ni Direk Wenn Deramas,” he says. “Puro magagaling ang kasama ko. Impernes kay Matteo, ngayon lang siya napasama sa amin pero sobrang galing niya at napakaguwapo pa. Sawa na ko roon sa apat kaya siya naman ang apple of the eye ko ngayon. Dapat mag-ingat si Sarah Geronimo baka maagaw ko sa kanya si Matteo.”

Is it true he’s still sore at Vice Ganda for stealing the movie “Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy” which was originally meant for him? “Naku, wala na yun. Nagkausap na kami at hindi naman sumama ang loob ko sa kanya. Hindi naman siya ang nag-decide tungkol doon but si Direk Wenn at ang Viva para maging entry nila sa nakaraang filmfest. Water under the bridge na yun for me. Move on na tayo. Focus na lang sa ‘Moron 5.2 The Transformation’ na kailangang maging blockbuster hit para mas bumango ang career ko, mabigyan ako ng more solo projects at magkasunod-sunod ang trabaho ko.”
