“Wala namang masama dun,” he says. “Mabait naman si Kylie. Nagagandahan ako sa kanya. Maputi siya. Makinis. Naging comfortable kami agad sa isa’t isa sa first day of shoot pa lang namin for ‘Dilim’. But don’t rush us. Pine-pressure nyo kami, e. Ang commitment kasi, hindi dapat minamadali. Okay muna ngayon yung good friends kami and let’s see where it’ll go.”
“Ako rin, I’m not ready yet for another relationship after my first boyfriend (Aljur Abrenica),” says Kylie. “Mabait si Rayver and it’s true, kinikilig ako sa kanya. But mabuti na yung good friends lang muna kami.”
So she doesn’t feel anything for her ex anymore? “No more, but I’m still a friend and concerned ako sa nangyayari sa kanya. Like yung kaso niya with GMA, sana maayos na nila.”
Is it true she was the one who took the move to patch things up with Louise de los Reyes who was linked to Aljur? “Yes, I just waited for the right time at noong makita ko siya sa ‘Sunday All Stars’, ako na ang unang lumapit kay Louise. Kasi ayoko ng may grudge. Mabigat ang pakiramdam.”
Both Rayver and Kylie are praying that their first team up in “Dilim” will be a hit with viewers when it opens today in theatres nationwide. “Na-enjoy ko doing ‘Dilim’ with Kylie,” says Rayver. “Matatakutin ako but I didn’t get scared doing ‘Dilim’ with her. Siguro, kapag pinanood na namin together, baka matakot ako, pero okay lang basta magkatabi kami ng upuan.”
The movie had a successful premiere at Trinoma last Monday night. Kylie’s dad Robin Padilla came with her stepmom Mariel Rodriguez, also Uncle Rommel and cousin Bela. Other Kapuso stars who came were Alden Richards (with whom she’s doing “Ilustrado”) and Mike Tan. Kylie gives a very credible performance in her debut movie as a student who is used by the spirits of Ella Cruz and Nathalie Hart to solve a five-year old crime. Rayver is a very dashing leading man and we’re really wondering why ABS-CBN is not giving him more lead roles when he has all the making of a good leading man.
