AFTER JENNICA Garcia and Alwyn Uytingco who just admitted they tied the knot last February, it’s now the turn of Nadine Samonte and Richard Chua (son of actress Isabel Rivas) that they also had a secret wedding on October 30 of last year. “It was a very private wedding at their farm,” says Nadine. “At 26, nasa right age na naman ako. My mom walked with me to the altar kasi my dad is in Germany. Kokonti lang ang present sa side ko, pero sa side nila, kumpleto sila. Our plan is to really let a year pass before we admit it in public. Gusto muna naman to devote our first year to each other lang. We had our honeymoon then in Hongkong. For our first anniversary, we are going to Bali. We got married only after six months of being going steady. I can already feel kasi that he is really the right guy for me.”
Nadine is the second female member of Starstruck 1 who has gotten officially married after Yasmien Kurdi. Jennylyn Mercado and Katrina Halili have love children but not married. Those who remain single are Cristine Reyes, Sheena Halili and Jade Castro. Nadine continues to be active in showbiz. Her contract with TV5 has expired and she is now a freelancer. She has appeared on GMA-7 as a guest in “Hiram na Alaala” and was also seen in ABS-CBN’s “Maalaala Mo Kaya” in the recent episode “Simcard”. She is currently shooting the movie, “Child House”, with Katrina Halili, directed by Louie Ignacio.
