“I really want to thank all my Kapamilya co-stars who participate in this yearly,” says Piolo. “After the Star Magic Ball, it’s time to reunite again and perform for a good cause, which is providing good education to our scholars who are all needy kids. It’s our way of giving back for all the blessings we get. I also want to thank Sunlife for their continued support. When I first mentioned this project to them, they didn’t have second thoughts at tumulong sila agad.”

Piolo has a lot to be thankful for as this year is truly a good one for him. His movie “Starting Over Again” is the year’s biggest hit so far and his current teleserye “Hawak Kamay” is doing well. His son Inigo, 17, has also joined showbiz, recording a song with him for Sunlife, appearing in “ASAP” and starring in an indie movie with Sofia Andres. “I want to delay nga sana yung pagpasok niya sa showbiz until after he finishes high school, but nage-enjoy na siya nang husto. But he’s going back to the States soon dahil magsisimula na ang last year niya in high school.”
He said then that he’d settle down when Inigo turns 18, which is next year. So would we see him proposing to someone next year like the so many public proposals we saw this year? “If every I would propose, I don’t want it to be in public. Magiging selfish ako. I want to savor it kaya sasarilinin ko na lang. Let’s see. But my main concern is Inigo. I hope priority sana niya ang college studies. He’s musically inclined and wants to take up theatre arts in New York. I don’t mind paying for his college education just so he can have a degree.”
Piolo continues to be evasive when it comes to his lovelife but in the recent interview with him by E Channel, he talked about ex-GF KC Concepcion. He aired his sadness when KC was interviewed by Boy Abunda and talked about their relationship. He said: “Either way she’s gonna come out with it. You know what I felt? I felt bad for her because she didn’t have to resort to that. I still love her with all my heart. But it’s just something that she did that I wish she didn’t do.”
