Zymic Jaranilla, Brother Of ABS-CBN's Zaijian, Is Give Big Break In GMA-7's 'Yagit'

INTRODUCED AS ONE of the “Yagit” cast members is Zymic Jaranilla, the younger brother of ABS-CBN’s Zaijian Jaranilla. He was not originally cast in the show but the child actor they got first, JM Andres, turned out to have a problem with his manager and Zymic replaced him as Ding. Zymic has appeared in some shows, before so he’s the only one with acting experience among the four leads of “Yagit”. Chlaui Malayao as Eliza, Judie dela Cruz as Jocelyn and Jemwell Ventinilla as Tom Tom are all new recruits and first timers.

Another new discovery is Steph Yamut who took the auditions in Cebu. “Hindi siya bagay sa alinman sa apat na lead roles,” says Director Gina Alajar. “But we were so impressed dahil sa sobrang galing niya, so we created a role for her para mapasama siya sa show. She’s very articulate for her age at gusto raw niyang makasama si Ryzza Mae Dizon.”

“Yagit” has two theme songs. First is “Kaming Mga Yagit”,

sung by the kids themselves. The other one is a hiphop number, “Basta Kasama Ka”, composed and sung by Gloc 9 with “Protege” discovery Lirah Bermudez. “Yagit” now airs every afternoon after “The Half Sister”, replacing “Dading”.
