COCO MARTIN’s 33rd birthday was actually yesterday, November 1, but up to now, movie writers continue to talk about his recent thanksgiving-birthday party at Cities Events Place. And it’s obvious that even his co-stars and top ABS-CBN execs love him as they came in full force: Susan Roces, Eddie Garcia, KC Concepcion, Kris Aquino, Julia Montes, Ronaldo Valdez, Amy Austria, Gina Pareño, John Estrada, Dennis Padilla, Nonie Buencamino, Janus del Prado, Christopher de Leon, Albert Martinez, Teresa and Bing Loyzaga, Paulo Avelino, Diana Zubiri, Richard Yap, Alessandra de Rossi with Sid Lucero, Vice Ganda, Charo Santos, Malou Santos, Cory Vidanes and Johnny Manahan. And why not? He is only the Kapamilya star who has done this kind of big way of thanking all the people who assisted him in his quest for stardom.
“It’s my manager Biboy Arboleda who pushed me to do this para mapasalamatan all the people na pinagkakautangan ko ng loob,” he says. “Never pa kong nag-party at nag-celebrate sa buong buhay ko, pero ito lang way and chance ko na magpasalamat sa kanila after ten years in the business.”
He says he has nothing more to wish for. “Lahat na, ibinigay na ni Lord sa akin kaya sobra na kung hihiling pa ko.”
What about his lovelife? “Kasama yan sa birthday wishes ko, pero hindi ako nagmamadali. I’m sure darating din naman ‘yan, kapag ginusto na ni Lord. Sa ngayon, siguro, ipon-ipon muna hanggang sa maging maayos at handa na ang lahat.”
