Isabelle Daza Leaves GMA-7 And Moves To ABS-CBN To Be Do A Soap With Gerald Anderson

ISABELLE DAZA confirmed to us that she’s leaving GMA-7 to move to ABS-CBN when we saw her at the birthday party of Malou Choa Fagar last Thursday night. It could have been the despedida party also for her of her “Eat Bulaga” co-hosts as she formally signed up with ABS-CBN yesterday, with her manager Leo Domingez. This makes her a Kapamilya star, along with her mom Gloria Diaz who now appears in “Dream Dad” as Zanjoe Marudo’s mom.

Isabelle was given a lot of shows while with GMA, including soaps where she got to act and hosting “Taste Buddies”. She says it’s “Eat Bulaga” that was most difficult for her to leave since she’s co-hosting it everyday and it really gave her great exposure.

She thanked everyone in it in social media, saying: “Just wanted to say thank you for an amazing 3 and a half years. It’s been such a wonderful journey growing with Eat Bulaga and I will treasure this my whole life. You guys have welcomed me and made me feel part of your family. Thank you for the constructive criticism and putting up with my singing and dancing and always pushing me to do my best. This show has taught me so much. I’m so lucky to have gotten the chance to get to know you all. It brings me great sadness to say goodbye, but you will always have a place in my heart. Forever Eat Bulaga.”

Her first show at ABS will be a soap with Gerald Anderson entitled “Nathaniel”. It will be recalled that Isabelle’s acting was first noticed in a Star Cinema movie, “It Takes a Man and a Woman”, for which she won a best new movie actress award. One thing Isabelle specified is that she won’t be a guest in “It’s Showtime”, which is the direct competitor of “Eat Bulaga”. Before Isabelle, Toni Gonzaga and Iza Calzado also co-hosted “Eat Bulaga” before moving from GMA-7 to ABS-CBN.
