“Nahihiya nga ako kay Sarah and her parents kasi nada-drag sila sa promo ng movie,” he says. “As much as possible, I really don’t wanna talk about her. But I think she understands that it’s not my intention na mapag-usapan ang tungkol sa personal life namin. Tinatanong lang naman ako ng mga writer at sumasagot lang ako. But really, it’s my choice to keep it quiet and not say too much anymore about Sarah and her parents.”
How about the accusation he’s using Sarah to help his career and promote the movie? “Sarah knows it’s not true. I wanna work on my career alone. I want to make a name for myself, without using her or anyone. But we know how things go sa showbiz. She’s my girlfriend so nasasama siya and they will always say things they want to say. But ako, basta I’ll prove it with the work I do, like dito sa ‘Moron 5, 2 The Transformation’, first time ko to do all out comedy at sana ma-appreciate ng viewers ang efforts ko. Some say it’s Sarah herself making a cameo appearance but Matteo doesn’t want to reveal anything else. “Basta masu-surprise kayo kung sino ’yun. Hindi n’yo mahuhulaan kung sino ang babaeng yun. Ako nga, noong dumating ako sa set, nagulat din ako, hindi ko ini-expect na makita ko siya. So, na-surprise rin ako. Noong una, parang naiilang pa ako. Pero maganda siya at lalong naging masaya ang pelikula kaya abangan nyo na lang when it opens in theatres on November 5.”
