Mikoy Morales Makes It Clear That He's Still Courting Thea Tolentino And They're Not Officially On Yet

MIKOY MORALES gets his first soap project in “More Than Words”. “Nasali na ako sa ibang soaps noon, but usually, idinaragdag lang ako sa cast kapag tumatakbo na yung show,” he says. “Unlike here, kasama na agad ako from the start kaya, for the first time, napasama ako sa presscon.”

A runnerup in “Protege” where the winner was Jeric Gonzales, he was taking up architecture in UST when he joined the contest. He has since moved to Mint (Meridian International) College in The Fort and is now majoring in music production since he also composes songs. A song he wrote was used in the Louie Ignacio film, “Asintado”. He appeared in his first movie in “Hustisya” as the crippled son of Romnick Sarmenta. He had just one scene with Rocco Nacino but he did so well viewers asked: “Sino yun?”

“I’m thankful of that movie kasi it gave me the chance to work with Direk Joel Lamangan,” he says.

Is it true he is now going steady with “Protege” female winner Thea Tolentino? “No, nanliligaw pa lang ako. Hindi pa kami. But I think we’re getting there. Both our parents are aware that I’m courting her. I think she feels masyado pa siyang bata at 18. Ako, I’m 20 na.”

What’s his role in “More Than Words” that starts airing on November 17 to replace “Ilustrado” on primetime? “I play Chester Balboa, anak ako ni Gardo Versoza, na father din ni Elmo Magalona, pero hindi naman alam ni Elmo na half brothers pala kami.”
